This is a blog about wargaming and possibly some totally unrelated topics. I used to be a 28mm player, but slowly I'm switching to 15mm for all the benefits it offers. Tabletop-wise I'm interested in Steampunk, Scifi, historical (as long as it has nothing to do with Napoleon)and some other things.

My first 15mm Fantasy progress
First of all my House Stark Warband (Corvus Belli HYW) from Songs of Ice and Fire. I really like the Corvus Belli miniatures and I think they fit the Game of Thrones show well.
My House Lannister Warband. In front the Kingslayer in golden armour and in the back the proud banner flying in the wind. The guy on the left is from Demonworld. The rest are also from Corvus Belli. For the Lannisters I will use some Mirliton medieval Italien knights to show their more sophisticated armour than that of the northmen.
Some more Orcs with some converted poses and weapons as the Demonworld Orcs I got all look like the same.
In the back there are JR miniatures (Rorke's Drift) buildings. I don't like the heavy material, but the houses are damn cheap. All Orcs shown are from the beatiful Demonworld range. The ogre is in fact a Warlords orc miniature I got for 3€.
My first heroes for slayling all that is evil! Except the cleric in the back they are all Demonworld figures.
Some villains: A 10mm Dragon Ogre from Warmaster, a giant rat and a ratmen plague priest. This one is a plastic bit from the rat ogre kit. Sadly the pose doesn't lend itself to more ratmen goodness.
Some scenery. This piece is from the Battle of the Skull pass box and I'm trying to get one or two more to make a dwarf barricade.
Forest goblin spider and a Warmaster 10mm Bonegiant. So much stuff from other scales can be used for little money in 15mm.

Progress on the dungeon
Another room finished, I'm quite satisfied with the floor. I will add more details to the room.
Work in progress bridge. The bridge will get a more rough and damaged look later on.
My complete dungeon so far. So far I used one DIN A3 sheet.
Two staircase-ends to I can use the corridor-parts on the walls, for more building possibilities.

15mm Dwarf city and Dungeon
The statue is from Ziterdes.
The floor relief is made by pressing a Warhammer dwarf shield in the styrofoam.
Right an ogre (Warlord miniature) and three heroes from Demonworld.
The "Indiana Jones rolling stone" trap is the first of many hidden traps/devices....*evil laughter*
The stronghold is supposed to be modular and allow maximum flexibility.
The parts fit together to make transport easier.
Finally I obtained a magnetic sheet of plastic to realize my miniature transportation dreams. No more careful packaging of the miniatures. A box with this sheet on the bottom and voila.

In our Berlin tabletop community (centered around the sweetwater-forum.de board and the Battlefield Berlin store) we try to meet once every month to game all kind of different stuff. Most of the times, several players bring some presentations or their finished projetcs to show them to the public.
Yesterday one of our accomplished gamemasters brought his "Dungeon Crawl that fits in a shoebox" with him. He used D&D Fourth Edition with some homegrown tweaks. For miniatures he tried to get a hold on as many old Citadel miniatures as he could.
You can see more pictures of the Dungeon here (if you need something translated, just comment below):

You moving forward, more tiles would be added and more grim foes would jump out of the shadows. The only flaw that the game had was that it was not in 15mm ;) Smaller figures leads to bigger Dungeon space for the same money/work, leads to more possibilities, bigger monsters in comparision etc....
The mighty heroes gather. From left to right in MMORPG terms, the Dwarf tank, the half-elf rogue/assasine, the damage-dealer mage and the support/healer druid (played by me). Two grim orcs threaten an old merchant with their rusty blades....
The heroes arrive in battle formation (mage and druid way in the back to guard the rear ;) )
The assasine jumps the second orc, while the tank keeps the orcs attention on him.
Our heroes venture forth. The path to the right is blocked by a gap to wide to be jumped over (the dwarf refused to be thrown). Although guttural sounds could be heard behind the doors our greedy adventures opened the door and....
Were faced with even more orcs!
Sadly when our group encountered a troll family I had to leave (for a Women World Cup Soccer game that was lost and the end for the German team in the tourney......should have stayed and played some more)

The only thing my druid really accomplished, slaying an (3/4 dead orc) with his hammer.
