This is a blog about wargaming and possibly some totally unrelated topics. I used to be a 28mm player, but slowly I'm switching to 15mm for all the benefits it offers. Tabletop-wise I'm interested in Steampunk, Scifi, historical (as long as it has nothing to do with Napoleon)and some other things.

Battlefleet Gothic Tyranids - kitbash style
My first hive ship.
Three Kraken escorts.
One cruiser.
An good old friend of mine still has battlefleet gothic stuff and I'm looking forward to game with him again (after so many years). I'm very excited!
I bought a huge bag of Tyranid bits and searched some bitz shops and now I try to make some good looking ships ouf of this heap of stuff.
Some ideas (like the escorts) are shamelessly stolen, but I just loved the look of those ships. No idea about a paint scheme yet :-/
15mm Scifi Update
Three Alliance mechs patrolling my alien jungle world. I just have to paint some more plants...
Two Protolene Okami walkers. These form the backbone of my "alien cat people" army. One imaginary cookie for the guy you knows what kind of letters I used on them.
This is an 6mm transport ship from Demonscape, that I use as an orbital lander. I bought two of those, because it's just 4 pounds a piece.
Felid Jetbike from Khurasan.
This miniature is from the Critical Mass Games mercenary pack. A cool cyborg with a gatling. The bone coloured armour was an experiment and I'm really satisfied with the look.
Old H0 train stuff, that I converted to a watch tower, to hide from the bugs.

15mm Scifi Update - Khurasan Corsair, AT-43 TacArms and Rebel Minis Vipers
This red fellow is a Khurasan Corsair Suit from their Earthdoom range. Magnificient miniature with two different weapon options, two weapons for the backpack plus three different backpacks. I used the plasma thrower, because it is described as a "ultra flamethrower" (google Game of Thrones wildfire to get the image I have in my head). I used the new GW Mephiston Red and a really like it. I washed the miniature with Leviathan Purple and then highlighted it again with the base colour. This guy is my new commander for my Mech Battalion.
Three finished AT-43 TacArms (still one of the best mech/power armour designs I know). These are the medium assault elements of my Mech Battalion. When I'm done, I will have three with heavy anti-tank weapons and three infantry-killers.
Here you can see a comparision picture to show the size of the different mechs (left to right: Rebel Minis Marine, Khurasan Corsair, AT-43 TacArm and Rebel Minis Viper).
Some new stuff I found at an Africa Festival in my city. Perfect for alien plant live!
Finally I bought three Rebel Minis Viper mechs. Great value-for-money! You get a lot of bits (several weapon options with each one) and a nice design. Of course they don't have the same casting quality as e.g. Khurasan, but the quality is good enough (especially for the price!). Some minor conversions on the two mechs in the bottom pictures. These will be my scout/light mechs. So in the end I will have 9 Mechs, 1 Commander in Corsair Armour plus some other stuff.

Dystopian Wars freighters and troop carriers
I finally bought the Tamiya 1:700 scale Tugger set, that included all the ships you see on the picture plus some smaller ones.
I think they are big enough to be objectives in an Escort/Convoy game, but small enough not to take up too much board space.

Khurasan Ogre beetle finished
Somehow I'm not satisfied with how my miniatures turn out these days, but I'm really satisfied with this Khurasan Ogre beetle that I finished:
The base colour for the "yellow" bugs is Tausept Ochre from GW and the drybrushing is done with a mix of the base coulour and Bleached Bone.

15mm Scifi progress
Mecha Action! Someone on TMP recommended these Armored Core models. 7$ for this beauty shipping included was a great bargain. I will change or convert the weapons, as they look to anime-like and don't fit to the rest of my 15mm stuff.
Rackham sold the last of their stock so several retailers and I hat to buy those TAC Arms suits. Perfect little assault mechas for my Galactic Alliance forces. They are pre-painted, but I'll try a different paint scheme.
Finally my bug horde got a big bruiser to storm those human fortresses. Truly beautiful kit from Khurasan.
A Star Wars model from Revell, that turned out to be too small for a real dropship, so I will use it as crashed recon ship.
